An old and decaying house becomes a spectacular place containing many cultural and touristic content.
Construction works on the facility of Ethnological Center of Baranja's Heritage began on May 4th 2014 and lasted until April 2016. The former nursery , then residential building, today became the 'House of Baranja's Heritage ' – a place that conserves the customs and traditions of people of Baranja and keeps it from oblivion.
The front rooms of the house are upgraded with additional attic premises and with the new premises in the extension of the house. A large watchtower has been built in the front yard ,which, this time serves as a toilet, while the upper part serves as a storage space. Also, there is a well in the front yard, characteristic for Baranja's yard.
The backyard was used for planting rows of honey plants and trees. Brick paths, that are modeled on the typical Baranja yard, too, are extending between the rows.
In the farthest part of the backyard there is the pavilion with a stage consisting of approximately 120 seats, with the grass planted on its roof.
Fun Fact: Timber, which was found in the house, was used for making totem a that is placed in front of the Ethnology Center.
